The Aspire Sea Trout is designed without compromise and makes excellent use of the latest carbon technology. The moderately fast action, casts a wide range of lure sizes remarkable distances and the lightweight construction and balance keeps fatigue to a minimum when fishing hard.

That’s why we have designed the Aspire Sea Trout range. Pick one up and you’ll immediate appreciate the lightness, balance and responsiveness of the high technology carbon used in the slim blank. Cast one and you’ll be amazed how far even the smallest lures will fly and when you hook a fish you’ll never tire of the perfect balance of power and forgiveness than unwaveringly subdues the most aggressive of fish in the shallowest of swims.
The secret of the Aspires awesome performance lies within the High Modulus carbon blank, which also features Spiral X Core, Hi-Power X and Nanopitch technology. This combination reduces diameter and weight, whilst retaining the required strength and speed to punch lures far into the distance. It also contributes to straighter casting than many rivals, enabling you to cast to showing fish with pin-point accuracy.
There are five models in the range, all are between 9ft and 10ft in length with casting weights to accommodate your favourite lures and in the traditions of Sea Trout angling have a full hi-grade cork handle. A custom designed Shimano CI4+ reel seat and Fuji Stainless Steel guides completes the impressive package of modern and tradition.
 
SPIRAL X CORE
Spiral X Core is Shimano's newest and most advanced blank construction technology. By integrating Spiral X carbon tape construction with Toray Nanoalloy® technology, Spiral X Core constructed blanks benefit from up to 10% more torsional rigidity and up to 15% more compressional rigidity than rods built with Spiral X. Shimano is unique to the market by applying by high-strength carbon tape with this unique and patented Spiral X construction.
 
HI-POWER X
Hi-Power X construction uses diagonally-wrapped carbon tape to form an array of "X" shapes on the rod blank's outermost layer. The width of the tape, its winding angle and the part of the rod being wrapped are fine-tuned according to the target fish species. This manufacturing process allows Shimano to adjust these wraps during construction for precise actions, enhanced overall strength and added twist resistance. In short, Hi-Power X construction delivers sharp and crisp rod control for the angler.
 
CI4+
CI4 is a resin material reinforced with carbon fiber that is lighter and has a higher strength than conventional resin material. CI4+ is an advanced version of the original CI4 material.The rigidity and durability have been greatly improved from original CI4 material while maintaining the lightness of the material, making it possible to reduce the size and weight of the reel.
